Straight about fifteen years ago, snowboarding wasn't considered a "play."
Snowboarding was something that wood-pushers did in the sniffles winter while their parks were frozen over. The 1990's were a decade, more so than the 80's, that saw these "alternate" sports mount ultra regard.
Fast forward to 2010, snowboarding is a billion dollar energy and the face of the lifestyle is a 23-year-old American named Shaun "The Flying Tomato" Ashen.
White has almost single handedly took a recreational energy and made it a bona fide, respected m. He has his own clothing line, accoutrements brands, and he's one of the world's most recognizable athletes. Don't dismiss from one's mind White's salesman skills, he's one heck of a send-man, too.
There's hundreds of world-category athletes in Vancouver for the next two weeks that will put their skills on ostentation for the world to watch. Ashen could quite possibly be the finest overall athlete in that group.
The Flying Tomato defies severity on every breath, floating, rather flying nearing two stories above the icey wonderful pipes that he calls cosy.
