I'm looking at two tractors for a gardening business:
One is a mid-eighties Murray 18hp, cast iron rear end, comes with scraper, box scraper, turn plow, disk and cultivator (no mower!) and brand new ag rear tires.
On an "either-or" basis i'd go with the newer one, but neither one would be my first choice. the final choice would have to be based on how you plan to use it, is it for mowering or for the attachments?
I use the plow head attachment I rigged up for making shallow drain ditches on the sides of the road.

Every August, just before school started, Mom pulled out the next size box of clothes she had been saving since my brother was in third grade, and started patching knees, hemming cuffs and moving over buttons. Trouble was, my next closest brother was seven grades ahead of me, so it would be October before the aroma of mothballs was completely out of my hand-me-downs.

McKenzie, my eldest daughter principal asked me if I am dying. Decisive to toil lifestyle of the wound and do some gardening . Picked up the box scraper tractor and connected my tiller .My garden plowed and pushed and plowed roads both my neighbor's gardens. Went and got a favorable feeling too-charming special occasion on the meaning of the healthy foot....
