Not that bad!
I've had one of these plows on my Yard Man Autodrive 17 HP tractor since 2000. I've worked its buns off and now need another one. Yeah, if you wait until you have 10" of heavy wet snow on the ground, you better get out the two-stage 4 stroke snow blower! But if you have a reasonable approach to... -
Yep! Parts Were Missing!
I bought this snowplow because I had one like it many years back. That old one pushed a lot of snow! I sold my old tractor and blade. I decided to get another one for my newer garden tractor. I read the reviews and noticed a few people said that their plows arrived short some parts. I bet...

Hi I've had both mowers. The Cub Cadet I've always had problems with. The plow blades have been very hard to put on. The mower just never seems to have the power to do what they claim they it would handle.
we got 7-8 in of snow and i decided to put the camera on a tripod and film the cub did a pretty good job
Hi is there a winter carburetor setting for a cub cadet lt 1050 lawn tractor. I have a snow plow on it and when I plow it will load up on carbon, and not run very well after about 15-20 min.
No winter carb settings, I think you have trouble with the choke staying on or a dirty air cleaner.

Check that the blades aren't being interferred with - foreign object, or something jamming, preventing engagement. (Could be rust somewhere from road salt.) Check the drive belt.

Farmall Cub • View topic - Finally, Some Snow to Plow with Ellie ...
Boy, what a difference in performace with the lighter more Cub-sized Cub-54 Blade setup. The first night I spent 2 hours plowing the driveway with the plow in the middle index hole and had a blast. Could have done it quicker if I had already had the right hand 12 degree index hole pinned instead. However I did that the next night and still managed to have almost 2 hours of fun. Em did not want to stand on the deck in the very cold weather to take pics of me playing down the 200 foot section to the shop.. I did not go to the brook yet.. maybe the next time. Rudi I can totally relate to the big grin on your face . We finally got some snow a couple days ago and it is snowing right now. I must say that getting those 2+ hours of seat time brought some memeries back for me. I have not spent that much time on the ole boy in years. I usually plow with my truck witch is much master and warmer. After seeing Rudi's pics and the follow-up comments, I'm beginning to think a psychologist/psychiatrist might have a ready-made client base here. Where else do you find a group who nor only relish snowfall, but revel in it !! They use smaller blades on their tractors so it takes longer to plow. They take pictures at night of plowing in progress. There must be a logical explanation for this behavior - I hope it's never uncovered !! Obsessive/compulsive behavior is a good thing when channeled along these lines. Little wonder this site can become a healthy addiction - you guys are the best !!! (CTDave - speaking of addictions - got that door stop down on the corner safe at home yet ??? hehe) Craig
