Scary day on the roads on Friday the 13th
SHEFFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio - It was scary for some drivers in the western part of the NewsChannel5 viewing area on Friday the 13th.
On state Route 2 near exit 10, Jessica Williams was near a three-car accident when she spun out.
“Some car changed lanes,” she said, while sitting in her car, which was one of three near the guard rail, facing the wrong direction. “So I had to slow down really fast, then I spun out.”
Many commuters all shared the same scary stories about how they didn’t get to work on time today.
“I was supposed to be in at six in the morning,” Fran Bowen said, as she was cleaning her car before leaving McDonald's. “[The roads were] very slick. I was going like 15 miles an hour.” Bowen's boss, Gwen Rotta, had the same thoughts.
“I had to take it slow because the roads were real bad,” Rotta said, while making sure the parking lot was clear for customers.
Some drivers we spoke with complained about the roadways not being paved properly.
