Must have for snow!
I finally got a Snow Brum after living in the northeast my whole life. I can't believe I've wasted so much time with a regualr snow brush. And this is a required tool if you have an SUV and hate having 50 pounds of snow slide down your wind shield when ever you hit the brakes. You can clean... -
Great Product
I bought my first one a number of years ago at a chain store and was skeptical but then after using it to push off huge amounts of snow with one sweep I was hooked. The telescoping handle is nice and reaches high over the car. Lots of heavy snow can be removed in a few minutes unlike a snow...

Imagine: McCormick-Deere instead of McCormick-Deering
When the farm implement giant, International Harvester Company, was formed in 1902 by the merger of the McCormick, Deering, Milwaukee, Plano and Champion harvester lines, it immediately gave the new firm about 90 percent of the binder and 80 percent of the mower production in the U.S.
Although such a powerful company worried the management of Deere & Co., they consoled themselves with the thought that while IHC made harvesters, Deere made plows and cultivators and therefore their product lines were mutually exclusive.
C.C. Webber, head of the Deere branch in Minneapolis, wrote to a Deere dealer who was begging for a harvester to sell, “Our policy … has been to keep hands off the binder business, and that will be our policy in the future.”
IHC, however, began to buy up even more companies, adding new implements to their line at every turn, although they had not yet bought a plow company. IH was said to have four or five salesmen in each territory to Deere’s one, and these aggressive drummers began to hurt Deere, especially with their Weber wagons and Keystone and Osborne hay tools (at the time hay tools were being made for Deere by Dain).
Commander Plow - Can-Am Commander Forum
I purchased my xt with a plow on oct 6th. Well the commander has been a blast but I still don't have my plow. The dealer told me it would be the end of Oct before the plow comes in. Well it never showed and then they told me the middle of Nov. Still no plow. Now they are telling me the end of Nov. Well I am getting tired of the empty promises. I called cycle country and they said that they do not have a plow mount for the commander yet. u might be talking about a gen plow mount. I have been calling every plow mfg that I can and got good results from American Eagle American Manufacturing - Home 1-800-328-4631 Talked to Kurt/owner of American Eagle plows. This guy was awesome. He told me if I was to bring my Commander in he would have a mount made in about 2 hrs. Due to the distance we are apart that wasn't possible. So Kurt said he was going to track down a Commander this weekend and engineer a mount by the end of the weekend. Kurt is suppose to call me Monday. I should have a plow by weeks end. Also it was cheaper than the BRP plow. Should be around $650. has anyone used a plow on an UTV before? I have been thinking about getting a plow for my commander but i am not sure how it would work. we get lots of lake effect snow, i have used a fourwheeler before and didnt have good luck. My drive way is 700Ft long, i would like to have some confidence it will work OK before i spend the money well the cycle country plow i got will go into any resever hitch if there is one on the front just use winch to lift and lower its a utv plow kit i got at my honda dealer i had the blade from my atv it is a 60 inch plow it works great just got snow first time last night. its nice no mounts to add to the utv just slid it into resever in front and good to go. Cycle Country - Snow Force 2" Receiver Push tube for UTVs and the dealer i got it from sells 48 60 and 72 inch blade this mount is the best i have ever had no taken off skid plates to mount to the frame and taken...
Plowing with a sportsman - Polaris ATV Forum
Im looking at getting an 93 700 sportsman and was wondering how many of you guys out there plow with one? Im planning on doing a decent amount of plowing this winter if this all works out, and I found a good deal on a plow system on craigsllist. Its a glacier II plow system with a 60" blade. Wondering if anyone has used this system or has any advice? Ill post a link to the craigslist ad at the bottom. Thanks in advance for the help guys. Ooops yeah I meant an 03. I was pretty sure the mounting brackets wouldnt work so I asked the guy and he said he'd lower the price $50 and not include the mounting brackets. I think I remember seeing that mounting brackets were about $70 online, but I'd still need a winch to run it but Im sure I can find a used one on craigslist or just get a new one. Whats wrong with the glacier plow systems? Are they just cheaply built with thin metal? I work at a metalshop part time when Im not in school so I can do repairs to it as long as the whole thing just doesnt fall apart. Well after reading through the forums for a little while I heard the plow mount and base are weak and known to bend, but no one on the forums has had that problem directly that ive seen. Wondering if maybe I could just reinforce both? Would be very easy for me to do if thats possible (never even looked at these so I had no idea what is and isnt possible). If none of this will work, what system do you guys recommend I look for? All I know right now is I want a 60" blade. Alright after hours of searching the web, I'm still lost. I know I want a 60" plow that i can adjust the angle of. The quad Im looking at also doesnt have a winch, so I need some sort of lifting mechanism. I think the glacier II looks like it'll work just fine, but I just dont know where to buy it and how much to expect to pay. I dont mind having a handlever for the lifting mechanism if its alot cheaper. So pretty much where should I look to buy one and how much should I expect to pay? Alright...
