MEDINA
DRUGS, ABBEYVILLE: Police went to an Abbeyville Road apartment Jan. 1 to arrest a 19-year-old man who had outstanding warrants with Medina Police and the Medina County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, officers discovered that another resident, a 20-year-old woman, was allegedly using drugs and was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were arrested and charged accordingly.
UNDER INFLUENCE, W. UNION: Police stopped a vehicle near W. Union and N. Court streets for weaving around 4:25 p.m. Jan. 4. The driver was a 15-year-old Medina boy who had allegedly been under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and his role in the case is still under investigation. Police also arrested a 19-year-old Chippewa Lake man for underage consumption and two 16-year-old Medina boys, who were wanted on separate warrants.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, YOUNG: Police were called to a Young Avenue home upon report of a noise disturbance at 4:23 a.m. Jan. 1. While warning the resident regarding a noise issue, police witnessed a marijuana pipe sitting out in plain sight in the home. A 33-year-old W. Smith Road woman was arrested and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
