Must have for snow!
I finally got a Snow Brum after living in the northeast my whole life. I can't believe I've wasted so much time with a regualr snow brush. And this is a required tool if you have an SUV and hate having 50 pounds of snow slide down your wind shield when ever you hit the brakes. You can clean... -
Great Product
I bought my first one a number of years ago at a chain store and was skeptical but then after using it to push off huge amounts of snow with one sweep I was hooked. The telescoping handle is nice and reaches high over the car. Lots of heavy snow can be removed in a few minutes unlike a snow...

To make a small fortune from plowing snow......start with a large fortune.
It's a very difficult proposition. You can have the best equipment, the best plan, the best people and if it doesn't snow you still go broke.

The regular phenomenon of heavy snowfalls in the North American cities of the 'snow belt' has had a marked influence on the communities affected; individuals and city authorities have both sought for ways to cope with the influence of snow storms on daily life. Making use of both official records and private and newspaper accounts from as far back as the Colonial period, the author traces the reactions heavy snows have provoked over the centuries, showing how communities have found increasingly sophisticated ways of dealing with the problems. He shows how the research prompted by the staggering costs have led to improved strategies, and details the moves towards the establishment of annual conferences on snow and its removal to pool experience and to find technological, fiscal and administrative responses to this regularly recurring phenomenon.BLAKE McKELVEYis former City Historian of Rochester, New York.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Network Optimization, INOC 2011, held in Hamburg, Germany, in June 2011. The 65 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers highlight recent developments in network optimization and are organized in the following topical sections: theoretical problems, uncertainty, graph theory and network design; network flows; routing and transportation; and further optimization problems and applications (energy oriented network design, telecom applications, location, maritime shipping, and graph theory).
Arc Routing: Theory, Solutions and Applications is about arc traversal and the wide variety of arc routing problems, which has had its foundations in the modern graph theory work of Leonhard Euler. Arc routing methods and computation has become a fundamental optimization concept in operations research and has numerous applications in transportation, telecommunications, manufacturing, the Internet, and many other areas of modern life. The book draws from a variety of sources including the traveling salesman problem (TSP) and graph theory, which are used and studied by operations research, engineers, computer scientists, and mathematicians. In the last ten years or so, there has been extensive coverage of arc routing problems in the research literature, especially from a graph theory perspective; however, the field has not had the benefit of a uniform, systematic treatment. With this book, there is now a single volume that focuses on state-of-the-art exposition of arc routing problems, that...

Neighborhood streets will be slick for days
AURORA - After the latest winter storm dumped closed to a foot of snow on the metro area, residents of the Havana Heights neighborhood are left with a big mess.
SLIDESHOW OF SNOW ACROSS COLORADO
Large piles of snow in the streets are catching cars, and even SUVs are having a hard time not getting stuck.
Marty Kurzdorfer has lived in Havana Heights for 17 years and says his street has been plowed once, after a blizzard five years ago.
"I've seen people stuck all over the place. It's slippery out there," Kurzdofer said.
Kurzdorfer worries his streets may get even more slippery in the days to come.
"It can turn into ice and then people can fall down," Kurzdorfer said.
The AAA Colorado roadside assistance call center in Denver is expecting a busy holiday weekend of emergency calls after the winter storm dumped nearly a foot of snow on the metro area.
"Our volume has been about twice our normal call volume," AAA spokesperson Wave Dreher said.

Thanks to the Homies! It just snowed about a foot here and i got high centered trying to get to school… so….. I…. raised it… =(. Its that snow that builds up in the middle of the lane that gets me.
However its coming back down tonight! Roads are plowed enought to make to places. Lets beat the streets!!!!
Thanks for the mini-feature Elvis!
lol @Anja you basically just called every car on here useless.
A WRX from the factory isnt a rally car. its a turbo AWD that has the ability to be rallied SHOULD THE OWNER CHOOSE TO DO THAT.
A Lexus GS300 is supposed to be a luxury, kind of sporty family car, but people drift those.
the AE86 is supposed to be a somewhat sporty econo-box, yet people drift, grip, drop, AND rally those.
A VW beetle is just that. Yet those cars make great rally cars, and even drag cars.
VW Golf are actually quite potent vehicles if they are built to do that.
Some people just prefer looks over preformance, and some people prefer preformance over looks.
Just because preformance is top priority on your list, doesnt mean its everyones priority.
Perhaps you should head to a different website, if this isnt your thing.
Peace.
Just because preformance is top priority on your list, doesnt mean its everyones priority.” I agree with this. That’s why I politely said, “Personally, I wouldn’t lower a rally car.” I could have been a douche about it, but I was just giving my opinion. I don’t get on this site because it’s personally not my thing, but a friend posted this somewhere and I felt like chiming in. Plenty of my friends are into VWs, stance, and form > function, and I always say to each his own. Also, snow filling the air damn blocks air from getting to the radiator which results in overheating.

Too Big For Plowing? - Polaris RZR Forum - RZR Forums.net
Tires CAN play a major role in plowing, but in many ways. First off the size, if you're running 31s how far to the side can you turn your plow, it's just like adding tracks, the more it sticks out the bigger the issue, for tracks you need an extension just to mount it.. I notice it doesn't matter what tread you use as long as you have chains, but I live in Alaska on a mountain with ice pack underneath, I'm sure you will do fine with any all terrain tire, even the e31s if your pushing strait..I don't know how much or how thick of snow your pushing but if it just can't get traction and push the snow, you're going to have to judge whether it's actually the tread or the surface causing the issues, I run Executioners. One step down from Silverbacks.. It's a bumpy ride, not much rubber on the road...I can't imagine the silverbacks... It you can add chains nothing will stop you.. That's all I can offer w/o knowing you exact circumstances.
