Must have for snow!
I finally got a Snow Brum after living in the northeast my whole life. I can't believe I've wasted so much time with a regualr snow brush. And this is a required tool if you have an SUV and hate having 50 pounds of snow slide down your wind shield when ever you hit the brakes. You can clean... -
Great Product
I bought my first one a number of years ago at a chain store and was skeptical but then after using it to push off huge amounts of snow with one sweep I was hooked. The telescoping handle is nice and reaches high over the car. Lots of heavy snow can be removed in a few minutes unlike a snow...

Reaching Paulina is half the fun
Paulina Lake Lodge does not have the only restaurant in Central Oregon with giant fish and deer heads mounted on the walls. But it may be the only one where the waitress greets you with the question, “Are you on a sled?”
When I looked at her blankly, she explained, “I can’t serve you alcohol if you’ve rented one of the lodge’s snowmobiles. If you’re on your own sled, then it’s your own business.”
“We skied here,” I replied.
It was Saturday night and the place was packed, even though it’s nearly three miles from a plowed road.
I had skied in with a half dozen Eugene friends for a weekend of Nordic exploration in the backcountry of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument southeast of Bend. By renting a cabin at Paulina Lake Lodge, we had a base camp from which we could sally out on ski tours.
