Must have for snow!
I finally got a Snow Brum after living in the northeast my whole life. I can't believe I've wasted so much time with a regualr snow brush. And this is a required tool if you have an SUV and hate having 50 pounds of snow slide down your wind shield when ever you hit the brakes. You can clean... -
Great Product
I bought my first one a number of years ago at a chain store and was skeptical but then after using it to push off huge amounts of snow with one sweep I was hooked. The telescoping handle is nice and reaches high over the car. Lots of heavy snow can be removed in a few minutes unlike a snow...

Vols. 76 include Reference and data section for 1929 (1929- called Water works and sewerage data section)
The snow particles entrained in the wake of the snowplow (i.e. snow cloud) and the subsequent snow accumulation on the warning lights appear as the most pronounced visibility problems behind the snowplow truck. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods are employed with detailed 2D and 3D models of the snowplow trucks (1) to evaluate the performance of the add-on devices (airfoils) available in the market which improve the rear visibility of truck by the public; (2) to gain more insight over the snow cloud pattern. Considering the low density of snow particles and high drag coefficient, they are assumed to follow air flow and their effect on the flow pattern is neglected. The effect of airfoil on the snow accumulation behind the truck is quantified by pressure and shear stress distribution. The airfoil selected based on the numerical studies is implemented on the back of the truck and tested in the field. The results confirmed the rear visibility performance increase by the airfoil over...

What You Need to Know: Street Salting and Snow Removal Procedures
With a white weekend predicted, the borough's Department of Public Works is primed and ready to plow.
Once the snow begins falling, DPW's Road Division will dispatch salt trucks to start salting county roads * and the designated emergency snow routes **.
After these roads are made safe and passable, the secondary roads, if deemed necessary, will be salted.
Roads will be plowed in the same order they're salted, beginning with county roads and followed by designated emergency snow routes, secondary roads and finally, borough parking lots.
Each snow plow is assigned a section to plow and will remain in that section until all roadways have been sufficiently cleared, which means the snow plow may make multiple passes on a single street.
Borough snow removal vehicles will plow each street, curb to curb, during each snowfall.
On occasion, due to the lack of areas between the sidewalk and curb, sidewalks and driveway aprons may become covered with snow. In such instances, the borough's snow removal vehicles will not remove snow from any sidewalk or driveway apron, and the DPW regrets any inconvenience this may cause residents.
Put Away That Snow Shovel! 5 Reasons Not to Be Your Own Snow ...
Occasionally, while driving our snow removal trucks and plows on the way to an office building or commercial parking lot, we’ll see some poor unfortunate business owner or facility manager out there shoveling his or her own space.
We suppose they’re just looking to save a little bit of money on snow and ice removal, but why anyone would decide to do this for their own driveway and sidewalk, much less a commercial property, is beyond us.
Here are five really great reasons not to be your own snow removal service: 1. You don’t have the right snow and ice removal equipment.Just as there are a lot of tools that make the work in your business or industry go faster, we’ve got a lot of plows and equipment at our disposal that put your snow shovel or personal snow blower to shame. It’s easier when you have the right tools, so let us use them.
2. You should be serving your customers, not shoveling snow.Freezing your hands and feet in the cold isn’t exactly what most owners or managers would consider a “high profit” activity. Given what you are worth to your business or facility per hour, it’s probably a lot cheaper to hire professional snow removal help.
3. Scraping ice off of sidewalks doesn’t make a great impression on customersShoppers and clients want to see you hard at work lowering prices or coming up with answers to their problems, not struggling to pour salt on a patch of parking lot. Leave the struggle to us, and improve your professional image.
4. Shoveling snow can be dangerous. This is a factor lots of business owners and managers overlook, but it’s a fact that tens of thousands of Americans injure themselves, and occasionally even suffer heart attacks, while trying to clear patches of snow. Is it really worth it when a professional snow removal service can handle it quickly, inexpensively, and without the risk?
