Customer Reviews:
  1. Not that bad!
I've had one of these plows on my Yard Man Autodrive 17 HP tractor since 2000. I've worked its buns off and now need another one. Yeah, if you wait until you have 10" of heavy wet snow on the ground, you better get out the two-stage 4 stroke snow blower! But if you have a reasonable approach to...
  2. Yep! Parts Were Missing!
I bought this snowplow because I had one like it many years back. That old one pushed a lot of snow! I sold my old tractor and blade. I decided to get another one for my newer garden tractor. I read the reviews and noticed a few people said that their plows arrived short some parts. I bet...

Denver Clearing Side Streets; Sidewalks Reminder

DENVER -- The main streets in Denver, or most streets with stripes, are very drivable and easily passable; in fact, lane markings are now visible on many of the main roadways. Our heavy plows remain fully deployed until further notice, continuing to clean up and apply de-icing materials where needed. Drivers still need to pay extra attention to roadway conditions and proceed with caution, but Denver’s main transportation network is totally passable for drivers.

All 126 light plows (4x4 pick-up trucks and small dump trucks with plows) remain deployed to Denver’s residential streets (or side streets) and will stay deployed until later this afternoon. It’s important to remember that the light plows will not plow the side streets to bare pavement; they skim off one to two inches of accumulation from the middle of the street to prevent significant rutting. The goal of the residential plow program is to maintain basic mobility and safety on Denver’s side streets. The snow skimmed

Snow-related complaints aren’t unique to the Valley

Stop blocking the driveway!

In one North Dakota town, residents pressured city leaders to invest in a snowplow tool that would help keep plowed snow from piling up at the end of driveways, the Dickinson Press reported.

Chaos prompts new plan

In King County, Wash., a Nov. 22 debilitating snowstorm sent state troopers to 970 incidents, including jackknifed semi trucks, which blocked hundreds of cars behind them and prevented full-size sanders and snowplows from getting through. In response, state transportation officials on Thursday announced a new plan to convert pickup trucks into mini-sanders, which should be able to maneuver more easily between stopped vehicles and can work alongside state troopers to reach accident scenes faster, reports the Issaquah Press.

No snowplow for you

Some residents in West Valley City, Utah, complained snowplows were skipping their streets. The city said those streets had to be skipped because too many cars were left parked on the street and snowplow operators feared damaging the cars or not being able to turn around in cul-de-sacs, reports KSTU-TV.

Suddenly Interstate 84 seems more appealing

Heavy snow shut down Interstate 90 near Buffalo, N.Y., Thursday morning leaving motorists stranded for more than 12 hours, according to CNN. Send us your snow photos Have you been out playing in the snow? Building snowmen, sledding, snowball fights?

City Proceeds With 24/7 Snow Plowing - KHQ Right Now - News and ...

SPOKANE, Wash. - The City of Spokane is continuing work under a Stage 2 Snow Emergency that was called on Thursday, Dec. 2.  Crews will work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until they complete a full City plow that includes all residential areas.

Citizens should have moved their cars so they are parked on the even side of the street within the residential areas.  Parking is restricted in the downtown between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. to facilitate plowing there.  And no parked cars are allowed on arterials or STA fixed bus routes.

The City is clearing snow using teams of graders and truck plows to work through the slushy and icy residential streets.  Graders are being used to do an initial cut down the center of the streets and truck plows are moving the material to the side of the road.  Private contractors with graders are assisting with the plowing effort.

Plowing is going better than originally anticipated, and officials expect the full-City plow to be completed late Sunday.  Officials warned that the berms left at the end of driveways would be heavy and difficult to move, especially as temperatures drop.  Large ice chunks are likely.

Street Department officials are prioritizing plow areas based on street conditions.  Crews have completed residential plow routes 1, 2, 4, 5, and 24 on the South Side, and are working in routes 3, 20, and 21. On the North Side, plows have finished residential plow routes 9, 13, 22, and 23, and they are working in routes 6, 7, 8, and 10.  Route 12 will come next.  Here is the link to the plow route map: http://www.spokanestreetdepartment.org/documents/snowroutemap.pdf

To check the progress of City plows, go to www.spokanestreetdepartment.org/snowplow.htm .

Residents can type in their address on the top of the snow plowing progress map to get a closer look at their area.  Citizens also can call our Snow Removal Hotline at 456-2666 for recorded information on the location of plows.
