To most families, the holidays mean entertaining family and friends in your home. Of course, we want to make sure everything looks it’s best. However, since we aren’t always able to buy new decor making due with what we already have is usually our only option. For me, with 3 young girls my furniture have seen better days and I really don’t see the point in getting anything new until they’re grown. So when I found out about the Guardsman product line, I thought I’d check it out.

We were recently sent a Guardsman Holiday Survival Furniture Care Kit which was filled with various product to help spruce up my home:

My first thought was our piano. It’s situated in a part of the room that seems to collect the most dust and is always making me sneeze.

So the first product I tried was the Wax Free Wood Polish & Polishing Cloth. I liked how it sprayed on evenly and wiped off without any effort. The Polishing Cloth was very soft so I knew it wouldn’t scratch the surface our our beloved piano. When I was done, the piano looked and felt great! There were no streaks or waxy feeling. I also really liked the smell of it. It kind of reminded me of the inside of an antiques store.

The next product I tried was the Touch-Up Markers. Kiana has this thing about drawing where she’s not supposed to . . . like the time she drew a life-sized family portrait on the wall of the stairs. Or when she drew a picture of her dream home on the back of the couch. I think those are probably a lost cause but there are a few scratches she’s made on the kitchen cabinets that I would love to get rid of. So I used the Furniture Touch-Up Makers starting with the lightest shade. Now the scratches are barely noticeable!
