Neglected roads in Brighton Township

To the editor: Oh how wonderful. Brighton has purchased a 4x4 truck for recreation snow plowing. Now we will have to hire two more people to fill it and put them on standby snow removal from May to December. They don't break records snow plowing or sanding in the township. We always had good roads until we got mixed up with the town. There is not one decent road in the township. It's like driving through a pasture field and it looks like cow flop. Drive down Telephone Road, Little Lake Road, Third Line north west of Hilton and go north from County Road 26 to Good Fellow Road, most of the members of council probably wouldn't even know where they are. There is not one decent road. Instead of buying another vehicle you should have bought a bus or mobile home to put everybody in. When you drive through the town you always see the town's half-ton trucks driving around with two and sometimes three people in them. Quite often before 8 a.m. you will see the town pickup truck going towards the dump with always two people in it and returning a half hour later. The township can never be a part of the town of Brighton. We are a neglected colony. Ernest Scriver Brighton
