If you go to Target, Home Depot or any of the other big chains that sell the Toro Electric Shovel you will probably find the same thing that I did...that it is SOLD OUT. Why? Because this is one of the most helpful tools to have ever been placed on the market. It works fairly well on small... -
Surprisingly Excellent
This is review written with Montana winter experience. The reviews were generally good with this item so I bought one, mainly for the convenience of easily cleaning the drawbridge, walkways, entry, and in front of my garage without a shovel. This device is pre-assembled, easily carried, easy to...

Okay so it's the time of year when all the snow is melting. People are happy and whatever.
But yesterday i was looking outside my window and I see my neighbours shovelling snow ONTO their driveway. Weird....
And anyways I was...
to get rid ofthe piles on the lawn more quickly than just letting it melt. the snow is somewhat self insulating. spreading it out on the driveway it will melt more quickly. More surface area exposed to the warm weather.
Metal railings with glass siding, some sort of outdoor plastic covering, and a sealant in all of the cracks. Do I need to bother shoveling snow off of it (the most snow it would accumulate would be about two feet TOPS).
Better safe than sorry - shovel before it gets too deep and too heavy.

Warm, wild weather works up worries
ST. LOUIS — The weather feels weird.
You might think this as you hide in the basement during yet another severe storm. Or when you cranked on the air-conditioning in March and put away that barely used snow shovel. The National Weather Service said much of Central Illinois and eastern Missouri are having the warmest-ever start to a year, the average temperature nearly 2 degrees hotter than ever before.
Add to this the past year’s bounty of headline-grabbing weather: Massive killer tornadoes in Joplin! And Birmingham, Ala.! Record flooding on the Mississippi River! Dust Bowl-esque drought in Texas! Hurricane Irene!
The feel that extreme weather is getting less extreme — that the un-usual is becoming more common, that Mother Nature has lost her steady gait — seems to be growing. After all, U.S. weather records have been toppling like tulips in a hailstorm, more than 3,000 records last year alone, including one big one, what the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration calls $1 billion weather disasters. These are events that, since 1980, have caused an inflation-adjusted $1 billion in damages. In a typical year, the United States sees three or four of them. In 2011, there were a record 14.
Telescopic Shovel makes ideal snow shovel | Caraselle Direct ...
With the severe Winter weather we had last year I decided to take more precautions when travelling by car. Each year we all act as though it’s a big surprise that the cold weather and snow is here again, but it seems to be becoming a regular event. What precautions did I take?
Yes, wellies in the boot, blanket and so on… but just as important (if not more so) a shovel became a very useful boot item during those snowy conditions! Telescopic handled shovels means that size is no longer an issue, and the Compact Double Grip Strong Shovel with Telescopic Handle is designed for easy use & easy storage and so ideal to keep in the car boot & caravan etc. It’s strong robust & lightweight, with a practical size of 97cm long when fully extended and only 77cm when collapsed.
It became invaluable when trying to get on and off my drive – and that’s before even leaving the house! So make sure you’re prepared! You may find like I did that this is the most important item to have in your car! Don’t get caught out this Winter!
