Powering this model is a 249cc Briggs and Stratton Polar Force engine that was engineered specifically for this task. The fact that it was created by a brand like Briggs and Stratton means it has stood the test of time and has a reputable name backing it up.
On the Ariens 921022 snow blower are 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds so you can move as fast as you want. Some snow blowers with only single speed transmissions either move to fast or slow for some people, potentially wasting time.
Underneath are 14 inch steel serrated augers that cut through the snow and throw it up the chute and out onto you’re your lawn. These tools were designed specifically for these tasks are hard enough steel that they will stand the test of time. Some snow blowers use tough rubber scoops to get the snow out but they just don’t have the strength that the Ariens 921022 augers do.

Some people just cannot pull start some machinery so the fact that it has an electric starting system is a huge plus. For added convenience, there is a headlight on the control panel of the Ariens 921022. This allows you to easily get snow off your property whether there is light or not. We found it to provide sufficient lighting but by no means are it like a cars headlights.
