Out of which make would you choose for a snow blower?
Troy Built
Yardworks (Canadian Tire)
Craftsman
Mtd Pro (home depot)
I would appreciate all your opinions.
Most use the same engines so you can get more horsepower for your money by buying MTD. Buy the largest one you can afford if you live in an area with a lot or heavy snow. At least 10 horse power is a good size.

John Deere 1338PE Snow Blower | Tractor Review
The John Deere 1338PE 38 inch snow blower is the largest self propelled snowblower that JD produce. The second biggest self propelled snow blower they make is the John Deere 1332PE snow blower . The JD 1338PE is driven by a large professional series engine designed and built by John Deere. This 4 stroke, 0.34 liter engine produces 16.5 ft-lbs of gross torque power. This power is diverted the wheels via a friction disk drive transmission which give the snowthrower 6 speeds when it’s moving forward and 2 speeds when it’s reversing. The engine draws it’s fuel from a fuel tank capable of holding 4 quarts of gasoline.
The large 38 inch wide mouth of the John Deere 1338PE snowblower houses a 14 inch high serrated steel auger that happily eats up and breaks up even the most compacted snow. This snow is then ejected through it’s extra large steel deflector chute. The deflector chute is electronically controlled so you can quickly adjust it’s position on the fly.
The John Deere 1338PE snow blower has a powerful muffler to prevent excessive noise during operation. the JD 1338PE features the ‘Quick Turn’ drive system. This means that you are able to lock a single wheel while allowing the other one to rotate normally. This is a crucial aspect that makes so many professional snow clearing contractors choose this snow blower over others. The ease at which it turns with minimum effort from the operator allows for it to quickly clear no standard areas with many twists and turns. Obviously this a machine designed for professional use. If you are looking for a smaller model, check out the John Deere 522E Snow Blower .
