Husky versus Stihl
Needed a new blower vac (well, wanted would be a more accurate description) and was torn between the Husky and the Stihl 86 C-E. Was lucky enough to have a neighbor who also wanted one, so we worked out a deal where I would buy both and then sell him the one I didn't want for the price I paid... -
Good Blower, Mediocre Vacuum
Husqvarna is an established brand, so when my box arrived, I was surprised to see how incomplete and incoherent the assembly instructions were. If my wife hadn't been standing there watching me wrestle with the vacuum bag, I would never have figured out how to attach it to the vacuum pipe (Hint:...

Blower Part Sears Snow with discount
Surprised? No, not really...: and so it begins
Well it's chilly here in Minnesota. We got our first serious snow fall the day after Sears got our snow blower in their shipment. How's that for luck? For those unfamiliar with this snow monster, a snow blower is a machine that shoots snow from your driveway and sidewalk in a glorious stream of white bliss. Fifteen minutes and we'd cleared the drive, sidewalk, and path to our community mailbox with little effort on our part. I took some photos because I felt this moment was worth documenting. We're coming to terms with the fact that winter has hit. We think the snow is beautiful. We might even like it. We better, because from what I hear, we'll be looking at until late March. Literally. These nine inches will reside on our lawn until spring. Is it naive to think maybe this will be the only big storm of the season? Bring it on Minnesota. The Jaegers. are. ready. White Christmas? How about white December, January, February, and March. Jealous? Yeah, probably not. I recently moved to Minnesota for my husband to begin his medical career at the Mayo Clinic. We just bought our first home, will welcome our daughter into the world, and in May celebrated three years of marriage. This blog is a space where I ramble, dream, and collect inspiration. I desire to create for a living and enjoy the beauty of God in the everyday details of life. I also love Chipotle, office supplies, Target, and reading other people's blogs!
