I am looking for a snow-thrower / blower/sweeper, whatever you would like to call it. I need this to be able to clear off a 60 foot by 30 foot driveway in the winter with anywhere between 2-10 inches of snow.

Is it a four cycle or two cycle engine? Does it have the pump bulb to prime the carb? It may just need more pumps of the bulb to get fuel to the carb if it has been sitting?
I bought a brand new Troy Bilt snow thrower from my local Lowe's store this evening. The store manager (Troy) came around and along with the customer service member (John) they helped seal the deal of one of the most expensive ones that they offer.
If you ran the engine with no oil, it is trashed (beyond repair).
I have never heard of a store offering to install the oil for you.

open the oil plug and let it drain for a while. the little bit that may remain will be absorbed by the correct oil and no harm no foul
