Good product. Unforgiving design.
After shopping for a garage ceiling storage system, I purchased this device. I was attracted to the ability to raise and lower the platform to load and unload items. This avoids the obvious pitfalls of using a ladder to hoist large or heavy items up from the ground. In summary, I am reasonably... -
Here's a better approach than the manual shows
I just finished my install today. Plan on at least 4 hours for this project. The joist do not have to be EXACTLY 48" as other reivews stated. That is the MOST the distance can be. You can be as close as 46 1/2. There is play in the bar that attaches the two ends. Here's my contribution to...

I'm planning to buy a snow thrower and I'm looking at my options. So far, I think I want to get a 2stage one, but I can't decide whether forward AND backwards motion is better than forward motion alone. Any experience and advice is welcomed. That depends on the snowblower and it's gearcase. If the drive is disengaged when you release the handle, and you can easily move it, then you don't need reverse. I use all 6 of my forward gears at different times, depending on the snow, but I...

First thing, if you left gas in it this long it has crudded up if not ruined your carb.
Drain your gas, drop your carb bowl and try not to mess up the carb bowl gasket.
Look at the bowl for water or rust or jello.

My mom just bought a Poulan snow thrower 5.5 and has no idea how to start it. Does anyone know how it works?
turn the key or switch to on, put the choke to full, punp the primer bulb 3 times, then pull the cord a couple times. If it starts right away, then turn the choke to 1/2, then let it run for 15-20 seconds then turn the choke off.

Horse exposition rolls into Ronan on Saturday
RONAN – Ever see a Gypsy Vanner Cob?
Well, they raise the Irish horse breed – beautiful black-and-white animals with feathering, or long hair, on the legs that hide their hooves – right here in Lake County, Montana.
There will be some at the first Friends of the Fairgrounds Horse Exposition and Fundraising Auction Saturday at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Ronan.
Also Friesians, with their black coats and long, thick manes and tails, and Haflingers with their distinctive, energetic gait, and Pinto and other Saddlebreds, quarter horses, Appaloosas, Tennessee Walkers, Arabians and more.
The Friends of the Fairgrounds are putting on the expo, according to vice chairwoman Sjaan Vincent, in order to raise money for repairs and improvements at the fairgrounds (there are live and silent auctions), and to showcase the horse industry in Lake County.
It all starts at 10 a.m. and runs to at least 4 p.m., although Vincent notes that the final event of the day – ranch roping – is a “bring-your-horse-and-rope” affair.
