Impressive!

the manual pull starter has to be hand rotated to a certain position before it will crank and it sounds as though a bearing is rolling around behind the pulley . any ideas?
On your motor if it says Briggs and Stratton, there is a ball bearing actually 4 inside the recoil starter assembly. These balls roll out when you pull the rope acting as a clucth to engage. sounds like they are dry or the piece is worn.
