Good product. Unforgiving design.
After shopping for a garage ceiling storage system, I purchased this device. I was attracted to the ability to raise and lower the platform to load and unload items. This avoids the obvious pitfalls of using a ladder to hoist large or heavy items up from the ground. In summary, I am reasonably... -
Here's a better approach than the manual shows
I just finished my install today. Plan on at least 4 hours for this project. The joist do not have to be EXACTLY 48" as other reivews stated. That is the MOST the distance can be. You can be as close as 46 1/2. There is play in the bar that attaches the two ends. Here's my contribution to...
Just bought a used snow blower and didn't get any manuals or info on it. it has a B&S intek 206 5.5 HP OHV engine that looks pretty new. anyone know how much oil and how to drain it?
Here are some instructions on how to change the oil. The example used is a push mower, but the instructions apply to most B&S motors.
The drain plug will be on the bottom of the engine.

I'm doing residential snow blowing this winter and lately i've been getting a lot of complaints about noise. Because of the time of many of the storms I need to start before 3a.m. and end up waking a lot of people.
If you have not replaced the mufflers on these beasts in the last few years, start there. There are new low-noise mufflers that may be retro-fitted to some makes. There are also very elegant DIY muffler tutorials for the purpose.
I have a bunch of 50:1 lucas oil. All my gas powered lawn stuff is 40:1 except the snow blower. How do I get a 40:1 mixture using the 50:1 oil? Add more gas or less gas? Or would it be ok to run 50:1? I have the worst luck with weed wackers!
