This is my first sno blower as well so read this with a grain of salt. Received the unit fully assembled so that step was already out of the way. The engine starts fine out of my garage (temp of 30F to 0F depending on outside conditions) by hand so I don't use the electric start. (see below as... -

I am looking for an Ariens 1332LE, 933SWE a Cub Cadet, Husqvarna and XP-1130SBE.
I would check Amazon.com and see how customers rate different machines. Also during the summer (if you can wait) Sears always has a discount 40-50% in sales of snow blowers. Artisan is not as good as Honda (which I think is best), but are much cheaper than some premium brands. If money is no problem I would suggest a Honda. They have the best engines – for the moment, and stopped them.
