Silliness knows no bounds Fergus Falls Daily Journal

I unprejudiced heard on the radio about a guy who up and irrefutable one day to clean his fireplace chimney with a 16-norm shotgun.
Although I didn’t be informed this man, I felt a growing parallelism with his ambitions. And admiration. Lots and lots of regard. After all, not everyone can spend a long day at the works punching out bunches of metal gizmos, obtain home that night, sit down, pore over the paper, and as soon as The Chain of the House is momentarily distracted, reach down rumbling inside himself for some creative chore solving.
Even superior, reach down and find the inspiration to conceive of: “Hey! It’s time to separate oneself a demolish out the shotgun and kill the chimney.”
The points that he finds enough right bits to do it with a rare 16-judge, well, that’s just frosting on the piece. For those of you who have never hunted chimney with a 16-basis, you should know that 16-gauges are altogether rare, kind of the Edsels of the shotgun clique. Me? I’d have gone in there with the more common 12-measure. But not this guy.

Would be helpful to know if this is a walk-behind and, if so, a single or two-stage. Or is it a 42" attachment for a tractor?
John Deere's website homepage is:
http://www.deere.com/en_US/ag/servicesupport/index.html
You may find operation & parts manuals there and all the info you need to contact someone from Deere.
Good luck!

42" Snow blower attachment for John Deere question about belts.?
Feb 22, 2007 by on02151blueline | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have a 42" snowblower attachment for my John Deere L120 riding mower. I have downloaded the manual for the blower off the JD web site but the photos are of very poor quality. What I really need is someone to send me a pic of the proper belt routing for both the PTO belt and the V belt that goes to the jack shaft pully on the blower. I think I have it routed proper but there seems to be too much slack in it. I have the idler pully pulled as far as it will go and it just seems like the belt should be more taut. Thanks.
You need to talk to your local JD dealer. Most of the time the consumer info is only half there. Don't bother asking Lowe's or Home Depot. They just sell the equipment.

John Deere riding mower attachments snow plow or blower?
Sep 25, 2008 by Reality Check | Posted in Garden & Landscape
I can't decide if I should get an attachment for my JD LA120 snow blower attachment or the plow/blade. Anyone with experiences with this and can give me some pros and cons would be great. Thanks
If you live in an area with a heavy snowfall, opt for the blower. Your riding mower is not a heavy machine and if you have a, for example, eight or ten inch accumulation of wet snow the little machine may not even be able to push it, even with tire chains. Also, with a plow you need plenty of space to put the snow. Unless you can just push it out into the street, as the winter progresses you can easily run out of space to pile the snow with a blade. And if the city or municipal happens to plow your driveway shut you will still be shoveling. You will not have any of these problems with a blower. Of course a snow blower is more expensive to buy and maintain and if you should happen to have a gravel driveway, they certainly do not digest rocks at all well.

how much are john deere agricultural tractors worth?
Jun 20, 2006 by dbleoh7 | Posted in Other - Home & Garden
i have a friend who lives on a farm and was out there and they have like 4 large john deere tractors and was wondering how much these things are worth. he said he didnt know. they are from the early 1990's. one was a massive machine which was 4 wheel drive and had dual tires on all sides. there were a few just normal tractors with large tires in back with small ones in front. one was also one of those things which you use to harvest grain, which has a snow blower like thing in front and shoots grain out the top into a truck. i'm really curious as to how much these things are worth. they are all so large
8**0-9*00 series=$50,000-75,000
"normal" = 8*00 series=$50,000-90,000
7*00 series=$40,000-75,000
Harvester=year 2000-now=$95,000-400,000
yr 1990-1999=$45,000-105,000
yr 1979-1989=$5,000-35,000
headers for combine(harvester)
new 12row corn head=$50,000+
or $5000 per row
new 30ft platform(not snowblower)= $40,000 or $1000 per foot
The "snow blower" is called a platform, unless its a draper, its used to CUT wheat, soybeans & milo.
The corn head is used to PICK corn.
On the top of the combine is a bin that holds shelled grain until it is unloaded into either a grain cart or a grain TRUCK. not the pickups that city slickers call "trucks". The combine swings out the unloading auger (the long green thing on the left side of the combine) and the grain is augered out of the bin.
