I'm a small engine repair shop. 1) see if the sheer pins are broken. They are like a bolt and nut that might run the auger blades. 2) If sheer pins are in tact check belt or chain. Some have belts and some are chain driven.
I have a 8HP Yard Machine snow blower that is 7 years old but used only once a year at most. For the last three years the snow blower stalls after 30 minutes of use. If you wait about 20 minutes it will run for about 10 mintues before stalling...
I don't have a snowblower, but my neighbours do and they were talking about the same thing happening..they said the snow plugged up a spot in the machine and had to be cleared out.
The reason I say that the ignition is good is because upon turning it over (with the spark plug uninstalled but hooked up to the spark wire) it is showing a spark.
What next, check the carburetor? Could the carburetor be dirty?
prime the carb, and insure the choke is closed. if needed spray some starting fluid into the air intake.

Livermore company awarded contract for cemetery maintenance
The Monday night vote was contingent upon the Cemetery Committee agreeing that the bid proposal met its requirements, administrator assistant Kurt Schaub said Wednesday.
The Cemetery Committee met Wednesday morning and agreed that the contract from the Livermore company would meet the requirements, he said. A second bid for the maintenance came from Michael Webber of Livermore Falls for $19,500.
In other business at Monday's meeting:
* Schaub said the town’s insurance company, Maine Municipal Association Risk Management, reimbursed the town $2,849 for a snowblower that was stolen Jan. 6. The machine’s cost in February 2010 was $3,099, Schaub said.
The reimbursement was applied to Highway Department income. “We don’t need to purchase a replacement machine at this time, as one of the used machines we purchased earlier in the year is now doing the job, though it is not as satisfactory as the one that was stolen,” Schaub said.

Now, this particular snowblower is a really light one, and a very quite one as well, which means that you’re going to have a more pleasant time using it compared to some of its heavy counterparts. Although it won’t be as powerful as one of those monster gas blowers, considering the fact that you’re going to use it just a few times a year, it’s more than enough.
At the same time, if you think you just need something bigger, or something that you’re going to utilize each day for as long as winter lasts in your area, then this Yard Machines snow blower
is probably not for you. At the same time, if you just want to quickly and easily get rid of the snow on your drive way and maybe even some of the sidewalk, then look no further.
One of the most important features that a snow blower has is the actual distance at which it spits the snow out. Now, with snow fox, it does depend on how you have your chute set up. This blower has an adjustable, 3 position chute and if you set it up so that it throws the snow out just straight ahead, it will go as far as 25 to 30 feet. If you readjust your chute to blow to the sides, you’re going to notice that the distance gets considerably shorter (about 8 or 9 feet).
While this may be a problem, it really doesn’t have to be. All you have to do to get around this “issue” so to speak is make sure that you clear your area off in diagonal stripes with the chute to spit out snow straight in front of you.
This way, you’ll make sure that there’s absolutely no snow on the area that you are working on, but also you’ll not have to clear patches of snow off twice, which is often the case if the blower shoots it to the sides.
