If you go to Target, Home Depot or any of the other big chains that sell the Toro Electric Shovel you will probably find the same thing that I did...that it is SOLD OUT. Why? Because this is one of the most helpful tools to have ever been placed on the market. It works fairly well on small... -

ok my cusin came over and he used our snow thrower. it ran out of gas so he put some in. the next time i tried to get it running it wouldnt start. then later i asked if he mixed any oil into the gas. he didnt.
If it requires a gas/oil mix and he ran it for any length of time without oil it may have severe damage. Usually the first thing to go is the rings and cylinder wall. You can tell this by lack of compression.
i have a toro ccr 2000 that wont stay running when it is under load. I just put in a new spark plug, the gas is good with the right mixture. the paddles are a little worn out but i dont think that will make it shut down, will it?
those litle single stage throwers(not blowers) have to have the carburetor carefully adjusted. due to a fixed throttle the GOVERNOR must also work/be adjusted correctly.
We have a two year old snow thrower. Worked fine the first two years we used it (probably a total of 20 uses). We are expecting some snow over the next two days and I was doing a "dry run" today to make sure the equipment is working.
There is something else to look at and is relatively easy even if you aren't mechanically inclined. There is a bowl on the bottom of the carburetor that can be removed with a screwdriver or small socket.
