Snow Thrower Manual with discount
snow thrower attachment - MyTractorForum.com - The Friendliest ...
Hi, Ive got a 1998 GT275 that I picked up this past fall. It came with many attachments, including a 38" snow thrower. Last night I swapped out the mower deck for the snow thrower for the first time and while attaching it I ended up having a couple parts left hanging that didnt go to anything. I have the snow thrower manual and it didnt show a good picture of these certain parts. Given that those parts seemed to be related, I pulled the gold colored rod back underneath towards the rear, attached it to the t shaped lever and hooked it into one of the holes, then attached the black spring to the other hole on that same t lever, and then attached the other end of the spring to the notched lever on the right side. That allowed me to then pull that notched lever forward, thus tensioning the V pulleys. Is that what Im smelling? Is it related to that belt hookup? Is it possible the belt is spitting off little small pieces because its worn or slipping? Does that mean the the belt is old/worn or merely needs to be adjusted tighter? I'm thinking of cleaning off all that black stuff and then retesting and seeing if anymore new black stuff shows up. (The black stuff was on there when I bought it, prior to hooking it up.) I think I got it all figured out. I picked up a new belt last night, which meant I had to remove everything. While putting on the new belt, I noticed the prior owner had a couple of pulleys put on wrong, and some guides were incorrect as well. After reverifying the belt path and having it off and on a few more times, I got it all back on, the path is correct, and by using the diagram and different pics off other blowers people were selling on eby, CL, etc, I knew the spring tensioner, handle setup was correct. And by swinging it forward, towards the frame, the belt was tighter, and locked itself into place. Testing it ran fine. glad you got it working and you are correct the lever is to losen the belt so you can slip it over the PTO when you swing...
