There is a belt tightener up near the motor pulley.
I believe you use a 1/2 box wrench and turn the tightener bolt clockwise.
If it does not tighten up, you have stretched the belt.

Like chainsaws, the diaphragm gets worn out, it best to get a carburetor kit and rebuild it, on a table with newspaper,cleaner,good light, magnification if needed. Parts should be around $20. get the make of carb. (zama, walbro) and numbers.
