Great storage, easy assembly
The unit is very easy to assembly, but the sliding lid is poorly designed. If you lift up, even slightly, instead of sliding back the brackets break free and can't be replace successfully and permanently. The lid then comes off in a heavy wind or when being used in hot weather. Huge... -
Beware of lid
Do not get ripped off by purchasing this unit on the internet. I called Home Depot just to verify what others had said about pricing in their reviews and they sell it for $329. Now, I am off to Home Depot.
The cord broke about 5 inches below the pull cord handle. It looks like 4 rivets how the cover down over the pull cord. Any suggestions on how to get this fixed or is it possible for him to repair himself?
no need to drill out the rivets. the snow blower should have a briggs and stratton engine. the recoil starter is riveted to the engine cooling shroud. remove the shroud as an assembly. the inside has access to the starter cord.
I bought a Troy-Bilt Snow Tracker Snowblower in february. I went to get it tuned up today and when I went to pull the pullstart the cord didn't retract. I opened up the pull start and found the the coil inside broken in three places.
I took off the pull cord assembly and the part right behind it but do not know how to take the next part that looks like a fly wheel. The reason I need to replace the 2 bolts is because the separation does not allow me to pull the cord to start...

Landlords should be prepared
There are many reasons why West Virginians might want to rent out their home here in the Eastern Panhandle for either a short- or long-term basis. Whether you own a second home that you plan to lease to a tenant, or want to rent out a room in your house periodically though an online service such as the increasingly popular.
One of your first steps should be to call your Eastern Panhandle insurance professional or company representative. Depending on the rental scenario, your standard homeowners policy may not cover losses incurred while your home is rented out, and you may require a more specialized insurance policy.
If you are planning to rent out all or part of your primary residence for a short period of time, for instance, a week or several weekends, there will likely be two insurance scenarios.
Some insurance companies may allow a homeowners policyholder (assuming they have notified the company) a short-term rental. Other companies will require an endorsement to the existing homeowners or renters insurance policy in order to provide insurance coverage.

Best Snow Thrower: Ten Steps in Servicing Your Snow Blower
Remove the carburetor and clean it. Take off inspection covers and check drive belts for wear. If the belts show any sign of damage or deterioration, now is the time to replace them. Before removing old belts, photograph them, the position of the tension pulleys and where the tension springs are anchored. Their positions look obvious before dismantling, but when replacing the belts, what was their correct position is not so obvious. snow blower is in this position, check the wheel bearings, is the drive shaft firm or is there a lot of play due to worn bearings. Because of the way in which the wheels are driven from the speed selector, there is an uneven force on the wheel axle. This does cause wear in the bearings, particularly those with plastic bearings. Broken or worn bearings can be replaced, by removing the wheels and bearing housings.
Basic maintenance and by being careful, much of the regular service routine can be done, which in turn will save you money. I found that by taking a few digital photographs, of the carburetor linkage, the tension pulley set up, the direction and lay of the drive belts, saved time and frustration when reassembling.
