Over the summer i purchased a very nice single stage Toro CCR1000 snowblower at a rummage sale for $30.00. The price was low because of it needing a new primer bulb. Since it snowed here in Wisconsin recently i started using it.
I would dump the old gas and fill with a good fresh gasoline. I would also add a gas preservative (sta-bil) just to be sure the gas stays fresh. If the engine is running well, there is no reason to rebuild the carb.
Did you turn on the fuel valve located under the fuel tank? Hope this helps.

Fuel filter my friend. Change it. if its not that, then check all your fuel lines for clogs. And if it isn't that, get the carb checked.
