Great Product
I bought two of these Dry Guy Boot Dryers and have been very happy with their performance. I play a lot of sports, and in the summer especially my shoes become drenched with sweat. Without a dryer it would take several days for my shoes to dry completely, and as a result I was always playing in... -
Surfing Booties
I've used the DryGuy for about a month to dry my surfing booties that always seemed to smell like week old road kill. I first tried a shoe dryer that does not have a fan but works by convection and that seemed to create the perfect environment for stinky bacteria. So far, DryGuy has worked great...

John Is Fit - Health
This is my third weekly loss in a row in my Countdown to Vegas challenge. Even better, the two pound loss keeps me on track for losing the 40 pounds I am shooting for. While it was nice to lose 1 pound last week, I didn't want to just have another 1 pound this week. I need to average about a pound and a half a week to hit my goal, so that's means I'm going to have to sprinkle in the occasional 2 or 3 pound losses to make up for the weeks I may not do as well as I had planned.
Last week I wrote that I was viewing 295 pounds as a sort of rebirth and it would have been great to see it this week, but I have patience. I'm happy with the loss I booked.
Things I did well this week:
Repeated my mantra "Vegas, baby, Vegas" numerous times every day, which helped keep me focused on making better decisions. Made a post here every day, which keeps me connected to my mission. Drank a lot of water every day, had my share of salads, kept portion sizes reasonable overall. Had oatmeal for breakfast 4 days in a row, packed a lunch for work 3 times. NO FAST FOOD!Things I did not so well this week:
Need to be more active with exercise – should be sweating every day. This next week will be a major challenge for me and it's going to take a focus that I am not sure I have to get through it. I'll be in Atlanta for a week, trying mightily to avoid the wonderful southern food that is anathema to my weight loss journey. Continental breakfast and lunch will be pushed in front of me every day, and I suspect there will be plenty of opportunities for social drinking and eating as well. Not to mention room service. I'm really going to need to buckle down.
Three weeks, three losses – a promising start to my goal of losing 40 pounds by June 30th, 2011.
P.S. – Stop by and check out the new FatBloggers.net . I bought the place recently and am working on a little winter cleaning. Leave a comment!
